Dr. Muhammad Hammad Lakhvi is one of the most prominent and prestigious Islamic scholars of Pakistan who belong to a family of great scholars of their time. He completed his Masters degree in Islamic studies and Arabic from University of Punjab. He received his PhD degree from the University of Punjab (2001) and was honored with a Post Doctoral Fellowship from the University of Glasgow (UK)(2007). He also completed LLB degree from University of Punjab and received an Ijaza in Hadith from Jamia Muhammadia Okara (Pakistan).
Shaikh Hammad Lakhvi was a Lecturer in the Department of Islamic Studies in the University of the Punjab (Lahore, Pakistan). He lectured as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Centre for Study of Islam, Theology and Religious Studies, University of Glasgow (UK). He also served as an Assistant Professor and an Associate Professor in the Department of Islamic Studies, University of the Punjab (Lahore, Pakistan). In 2014, Shaikh Hammad Lakhvi worked as a Professor in the Institute of Islamic Studies, University of the Punjab Lahore.
Currently, Shaikh Muhammad Hammad Lakhvi is Dean of Faculty of Islamic Studies at University of the Punjab (Lahore, Pakistan). He is also Khateeb of the famous historic Masjid Mubarak inside Government Islamia College Railway Road Lahore.
